I sat down and began writing to my daughter and her friends. Found I had a lot to say. So developed a weekly newsletter and this, my blog from Birmingham, Alabama about living life God's way through trial and error and enjoying his bountiful blessings. Hope you enjoy!

7.22.13 Lessons learned from my mother
Some of the most important lessons that I have learned in life were from the same person, my wonderful mother. 1) Treat everyone with respect - thank you, please, yes ma'am and no sir. 2) Care for those less fortunate than you - doesnt matter how they got there or what they do with your "gift". 3) Like people for who they are - not their financial position, race, gender, sexual orientation or the way they look. The cliche - its whats inside that counts - is true. 4) God and family always come first. No explanation needed. 5) Work hard and give it your best no matter what you do. A day worker or a CEO - as long as you do your very best. My mother, my teacher, my friend. I love you!
