10.30.11 blessings

Good morning. I hope this letter finds you well. Just remember every day is a blessing within itself and blessings can be found throughout the day. Sometimes I may take my many blessings for granted. Shame on me! I am blessed that my parents are only a phone call away, I have a job, a roof over my head, food on my table (although too much in my belly), I have a wonderful husband (yes, you heard me – he can be wonderful. Just don’t tell him), a beautiful daughter, great brother and awesome nephew, I have great friends and an absolutely wonderful extended family, I like who I am (surprisingly that is a big blessing), I have music on my mp3 player and a little extra Christmas money (of course, it is from working on a Saturday but hey!) Yes, I have so, so much to be thankful for.  Thank you, Lord, for my many blessings.
Blessings come in many forms and sizes. I know that each of you could provide a mile long list of things in your life. Today, I would like to ask you to pick one blessing and take a moment to thank God for your special blessing. Big or little. It all matters. No one is listening but him. You can thank him for living in a country where we are free to worship who or where we want or you can thank him for a good grade on a test. (Dear God, I am thankful for my friends who participate in our weekly Bible Study. May we continue to learn and grow in our relationship with you.)
Thought for the week:
Verse for the week:
…”Stand up and praise the LORD your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting. ” “Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.” Nehemiah 9:5
