Tiiiiiiime is on my side, yes it is. Or is it? Each and every day is a gift from God. Yet how many times have you wished for the weekend? C’mon. Admit it. So what you (ME) are doing is throwing God’s gift back at him. Telling him that we do not want it. But that’s not true (Im speaking for all of us now.) I wake up every day and thank God for another day - for the chance to see my family, the chance to experience life, the chance to serve God. So what changes during the day? What makes me appreciate the gift in the morning and then anticipate the weekend by noon? Haha. We wont even go there. J
Today I join my family to celebrate my Dads 72nd birthday. It’s a reality check. I pray that I have a lifetime ahead of me to spend with all my family. But just in case, I will treasure each day for what it is - a gift from God. No longer will I place importance and value only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Ok, lets break it down even further. There are 365 days in a year OR 52 weekends (104 weekend days). How much time would you rather have in your life? 104 or 365? We bide our time for 261 days waiting on 104. Are we crazy? Yes, yes we are!
By the time I mail this out it will be Monday. The beginning of my week when I usually start wishing for the weekend. But hey there, friends, not this week. This week, I will wake up, thank God for the gift, and enjoy every minute (well, maybe not every minute) but I will appreciate every minute. A smile from Naomi, the sound of my family on the phone, the laughter of Kaylee Bug, talking with Linda, joking with the guys, visiting with friends at Eastern Star, going to classes, watching tv with Jim, talking politics with Summer, talking trash with Chad, spending time with my Lord - it may not seem like much but my life is rich with experiences. I have been negligent. I have been guilty of giving it away instead of treasuring it. Thank you, God. Thank you for the gift of my life, all 365 days.
Bible verse for the week:
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! 2 Cor. 15:57
Thought for the week:365 or 104? Your choice. But whatever choice you make, thank God daily for the gift.

Each of the following is the last verse of a book in the Bible. Name the book in each case. (for me, these were a little tough so the answers are listed below)
1 Remember me, O my God, for good.
2 But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
3 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.
4 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
5 So Joseph died, being a hundred and ten years old; and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.
6 And they were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
